Seems to me that this spring is early and the winter was pretty mild. Before I can seed any seeds, I have to make quite a few brail labels and sort everything out to stay on the organized side. I don\u2019t like to plant tomatoes without knowing what I am growing. After all, isn\u2019t the whole point in growing tomatoes from seeds to pick the best varieties, best tasting, the most productive etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/146.190.38.139\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/20160310_032705758_iOS-e1457581126145.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-51\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-51\" src=\"http:\/\/146.190.38.139\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/20160310_032705758_iOS-e1457581126145-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Seeding tray with seeded tomatoes in individual 6 cells, with soil and labels\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\"><\/a>&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Here is my 2016 list of tomatoes:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Sun Gold<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Sweet Million<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Black Krim<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Mortgage Lifter<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Gold Medal<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Amish Paste<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Siletz<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Super Sioux<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Yellow Pear<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">The list is not very extensive, but includes cherry, yellow, black and different red tomatoes. The Siletz are especially interesting because they are supposed to be self-pollinating and quite early. 2 of above varieties are returning from previous growing season, black krim and sun gold. Sun Gold is number 1 in sweetness and Black Krim just perfect tasting beefsteak for summer salads and sandwiches.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">\u201cEcclesiastes 11:4 &nbsp;He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s that time of year again to start thinking about warm weather crops.
